The Baltic is a dangerous center of gravity
Apparently, a real hunt has been launched against Russia's so-called “shadow fleet”. Following Great Britain, a former maritime empire, which seemed to dream of “reviving” its legendary past, other Western countries went bankrupt. According to some military-political experts, the escalation is expected to first cover the Baltic and North Seas, then the Black Sea.
A similar conclusion was made after 14 European countries, including Britain, France and Germany, announced they would “close” the Baltic region to all ships “suspected” of concealing their origin. Specifically, they change flags, turn off transponders or work without the necessary documents. From now on, they will be considered “stateless vessels” and will therefore be subject to immediate arrest.
“Now Europe is effectively legalizing piracy in international waters, targeting tankers exporting Urals oil from the ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga on the Baltic Sea,” military correspondent Alexander Kots explains. – Therefore, NATO has outlined a future scenario of a naval blockade of Russia and Kaliningrad, especially in the Baltic region. This is a very important precondition for a major conflict.”
The West is preparing for a new round of escalation
According to political scientist Yury Baranchik, “the British and their juniors” are trying to change the very logic of applying maritime law without new sanctions packages. After all, the Baltic is one of the most important shipping arteries in Russia.
Experts call the incident an ultimatum with direct military consequences, which could lead to a military-economic blockade in a strategically important region of the planet.
Apparently, the same fate awaits oil tankers arriving from Russia through the Black Sea. There, in addition to threats from ships of various countries, Ukrainian naval drones are also operating there. The danger is certainly great. After all, just one “unsuccessful” strike can cover the Black Sea coast with a sticky oil crust.

Meanwhile, some foreign media described in detail the plan devised in Europe to gain pretext for real attacks on Russian tankers. So, judging by publications, such as in the British newspaper The Telegraph, Brussels will accuse them of “interfering with satellite navigation systems”. Allegedly, this will become a security threat to shipping in the Baltic and North Seas.
Countries signed a memorandum of understanding requiring ships to fly only one flag. Otherwise, as mentioned above, they will be considered “stateless”, boarded ships and taken to European ports.
However, according to some Western analysts, such requests are just a reason to attack Russian tankers. Europe is least interested in peace in Ukraine. The majority of the country's leaders want the Russian Federation to fail and are trying their best to achieve this, supporting Ukrainian fighters and harassing their enemies from the sea.
The Russian tanker attack was just an excuse!
“Are you ready and how to respond to such skepticism and insolence in Moscow?” – perhaps one of the readers will ask. It turned out that the Russian authorities, as many specialized telegram channels claimed, citing their informants in the Kremlin, were discussing the toughest decisions that would allow them to “drive the British back to their island.”
The telegram channel “Diary of a scout” wrote: “Ideas include equipping the ship with large-caliber machine guns and mobile torpedo launchers.” – There was even a proposal to sink British merchant ships in response to every captured tanker. Some have even suggested dealing a blow to Britain's financial empire by blowing up some of the Internet cables connecting the island to the rest of the world.”
Well, judging by this and other similar information coming from the Old World, the new year seems to have become the beginning of another wave of Western escalation against Russia. The worst is ahead, as some experts assure. Yes, not for our state, but for the entire West. Of course, first of all towards Foggy Albion – the main military provocateur.
Such a scenario cannot be ruled out at all…
The Russian authorities have something to answer for, and this is not just military force (although, if necessary, its power will be loudly demonstrated). For now, as some military experts suggest, a “trade blockade” would suffice, something Moscow could easily arrange for London with its myriad insurance and logistics companies.
