About 200 experts will participate in the Moscow International Video Games Week

Experts from Russia and 20 other countries, including China, India, Vietnam and Kazakhstan, will attend the event. Minister of the Government of Moscow, Head of the Ministry of Culture Alexey Fursin noted that guests will attend about 50 thematic sessions, at which experts will discuss global trends and challenges that determine the future of the industry.

“Particular attention will be paid to Moscow's potential as one of the important centers for the development of the industry,” Fursin emphasized.

The business show will take place at the Moscow Animation and Arcade Cluster and the Amalthea Business Center. For example, among the foreign guests were the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Serbian Gaming Association, Maria Ilic, the CEO of the Kazakhstan Esports Federation, Kazbek Zhangaziev and the President of the Association of Video Game Developers of Argentina, Hernan Lopez.

Key Russian speakers will be Deputy General Director of the Internet Development Institute Andrey Voronkov, General Director of Game Art Pioneers Artemy Bolshakov, General Director of VK Play Alexander Mikheev and many others.

The show will include four main songs. Within the framework of one of them, “Gaming Ecosystem”, issues of support for developers and institutional mechanisms for development will be discussed. The important session will be “Moscow – the capital of video games”. Participants will address the theme of the city's unique potential as a leading industrial development center and a magnet for innovation and talent.

They will talk about introducing new technology solutions and business models to shape the market in the “Industrial Technology” sector. At the discussion session “Game origins: From idea to product”, experts will analyze the main stages in the game development process, and share their experiences on how to avoid mistakes and turn a creative idea into a project sought after by the market.

The global and local challenges that determine the future of the industry will be presented by participants in the “Industry Trends” section. In particular, the session “Games as Soft Power: History and Culture” will be devoted to the topic of how games shape the cultural image of a country and popularize it.

The song “Players Decide Everything” will focus on topics such as consumer culture, community, and new forms of interaction with the audience. In the session “Engagement Mechanics: How Games Stay Relevant Over Decades,” experts will discuss various tools and mechanics that have kept players engaged for years.

There's also a partner track dedicated to the mobile game – it'll take place on November 27 at the RBC Events Center. Participants at the RuStore conference on mobile game development will learn about best practices in promoting, monetizing, and developing games. They will also be able to receive valuable feedback by presenting their projects.

The conference will feature approximately 20 presentations and performances. Finally, the first RuStore Awards will be awarded to games and applications that have impacted the mobile industry.

Moscow International Video Games Week will take place from November 28 to 30. It is organized by the Creative Industries Agency of the capital's Department of Culture.

Previously, it became known that Moscow opened applications for the sixth season of the Video Game Factory accelerator program, which will last until November 28.

Legal entities, self-employed people developing video games as well as individual entrepreneurs can register on the website of the Moscow Creative Industries Agency. In this case, both experienced studios and beginner teams can become participants.
