The middle of winter is always a strange time in the gaming industry. There don't seem to be any major new products, but each week there's something interesting to whet the appetite before the big release. In the meantime, if you're planning a day off to play Nioh 3 or Resident Evil Requiem, we've prepared a selection of traditional free games for the weekend.

Rusty man
Epic Games Store is giving away Rustler: an action comedy that can be succinctly described as “Grand Theft Auto in the Middle Ages.” The main character will have to steal carts, evade police knights, cause chaos and get into many references to modern pop culture. The game can be downloaded for free until January 29.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties
The demo version of Yakuza Kiwami 3, the remake of the third part of the legendary beat-em-up action series, has been released on Steam. New graphics and mechanics, but the plot remains the same: the game will tell about criminal plots in sunny Okinawa, where Kiryu comes to oversee orphanages. And in addition to the main plot, the remake also offers Dark Ties – a small standalone add-on that will tell the backstory of the game's main villain.

Duet of the abyss at night
The popular gacha game Duet Night Abyss, an anime action game that borrows many ideas and mechanics from Warframe, was also, surprisingly, released on Steam. This means battles are based on acrobatics, tackles, long jumps, and a combination of melee combat and guns. At the same time, in Duet Night Abyss, unlike many other similar projects, there is no roulette game that tries to extort money from users.

Heart disease
Heartopia is a cute life simulation game with an emphasis on multiplayer. Each user can create a character to his own taste, decorate his own house and get to know his neighbors, while participating in all kinds of mini-games – from tending the garden to fishing or cooking.
