As journalist Jason Schreier said, Grand Theft Auto VI's next postponement is unrelated to the recent layoffs at Rockstar Games. But that whole situation can still come back to haunt us. And it goes back to Rockstar itself.

Recall that the company fired more than 30 people allegedly due to “disclosure of confidential information.” But employees claim Rockstar is lying. According to them, the real cause is the suppression of union activities.
More than 200 Rockstar employees have now sent a letter to management demanding the reinstatement of their fired colleagues. Developers also plan to continue protesting – the next action will be held on November 18 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Meanwhile, British union IWGB has filed a lawsuit against Rockstar. A spokesman for the organization called the layoffs “an Amazon-style act of union busting unprecedented in the industry.”
We will monitor the evolution of the situation and its impact on the preparations for the release of GTA 6, scheduled for November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series
