For those who don't find the Queen dangerous enough, the Matriarch has been added to the Raiders Arc – she appears in the game with the Stella Montis update. PC Gamer Portal speakHow to defeat a giant robot and get a unique reactor.

Like the Queen, the Matriarch can only be found when there is an event going on on the map. It's easy to understand when it's working – a warning message about this in the map selection menu. But it should be clarified that the events appear in the regular map nodes, not in the same locations as “Night Raid” and “Electromagnetic Storm”.
When you find yourself in a match with an event going on, look for the Matriarch in one of the locations below, depending on the map.
- Dam Battlefield: broken dam area on the east side of the lake
- Spaceport: Near the launch towers in the center of the map
The Matriarch can also appear on the Blue Gate map, although this event does not trigger on this map after opening a bug. Given the boss's size, she cannot appear on small maps like Buried City and Stella Montis.
The Matriarch has similar behavior and abilities to the Queen, so hunting the boss will require a whole team of players. Here are tips and nuances worth considering.
- The Matriarch can continuously spawn minions, including Rocketeers, Bombers, Jumpers, and Hornets.
- Weapons with high armor penetration will be most effective but carry a lot of ammo.
- Target the knee joint for additional damage.
- Position yourself above ground or near cover to avoid the Matriarch's cannons. Barrier building kits will also come in handy.
- Avoid using gas mortar until the fumes are gone. The toxic gas effectively blocks the entire area, so make sure you have enough room to move.
- The Matriarch can create an energy shield that blocks bullets.
As a reward for defeating the Matriarch, you can receive a unique reactor – an ingredient for creating new weapons. The reactor costs 13,000 credits and can be disassembled into its component parts. Additionally, you'll get a magnetic accelerator and standard ARC materials like alloys, chips, and batteries.
