Karousa vertically scrolling shooter, will be available on Steam (with English translation) on January 22. Karous launched on the Dreamcast in 2007, becoming the last officially licensed game for the platform (with support for the Dreamcast discontinued six years earlier).
The Japanese company is responsible for Karous MileStone. It closed in 2012. The game was ported to PC RS34 (also Japanese). Previously, in November 2025, the shooter was released on PS and Switch, but only in its homeland.
The port differs from the original with improved graphics. You can also choose between classic soundtracks and remixes.
A special feature of Karous is that from beginning to end your “ship” uses the same weapons – swords, guns and shields. The more often you use them, the stronger they become.
