Microsoft is developing a new generation of consoles, commonly known as Xbox 2027, which will receive significantly more powerful hardware and will become a combination of a console and a gaming PC. Blogger and insider Moore's Law is Dead stated this in his new YouTube video.

According to MLiD, the console will be based on AMD's new APU with RDNA 5 architecture, manufactured using TSMC N3P process technology. The crystal area will be 408 square meters. mm, almost double that of the upcoming PlayStation 6. The processor part will include 11 Zen 6 cores and the graphics part will include 70 GPU compute units.
Additionally, the device will be equipped with an XDNA 3 neural processor with performance up to 110 TOPS and a 192-bit memory bus supporting up to 48 GB GDDR7. The exact amount of RAM is yet to be confirmed.
The main difference between the new Xbox generation will be its open ecosystem. According to an insider, Microsoft is looking at the possibility of integrating Steam and the Epic Games Store alongside its own Microsoft Store, which would allow the console to be used as an official gaming platform for all popular services.
It should be noted that such a significant increase in performance will lead to increased costs: the estimated price of the device will be from 800 USD to 1200 USD, significantly higher than the price of the current Xbox Series X model.
Microsoft plans to position the Xbox 2027 as a premium gaming PC in a compact form factor, aimed at enthusiasts and gamers.
Previously, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was temporarily free on PC and consoles.
