Sandisk introduced one of the most likely SSDs in history – a capacity of 256 tuberculosis. The device is manufactured in U.2 format and focuses on cloud data centers, AI infrastructure and the company's tasks, in which the maximum storage density is important.
The novelty is built on the new UltraQLC platform that uses BIC88 3D memory with 2 TBIT density, as well as the exclusive multi -channel controller and Sandisk software.
Unlike traditional SSDs, QLC technology is directly used in this drive.
This reduces the delay, causing the notes to prevent power outages, but may affect the speed – after all, the QLC is slower than the SLC.
To compensate for this, SanDisk uses dynamic frequency ratio and memory wear and tear management functions. Data replacement systems are also announced, helping to reduce the frequency of cell treatment by 33%.
The model for 256 TB will be sold in the first half of 2026 with 128 TB versions. The price has not been revealed.
