SSD mass problems, reported after the August Windows update, is not related to the OS itself.
Turns out the reason mentioned in the technical cartilage section used in tests. The investigation started after the messages in the DIY PC enthusiastic community.
Participants found that the incident was fixed on some models of Corsair, Silicon Power and Apacer. Later Phison, the manufacturer of Nand controller, confirmed: in the laboratory, not the last, but the technical version of the cartilage has been used.
The company has organized repeated tests on the same SSD models, but has a series of cartilage available for customers. The results showed that the work was stable without failing even with stressful tests with 1 TB of data.
Therefore, the culprit is not a window, but a part of test cartilage, accidentally falling into circulation. In case the consumer versions of MP600 and other drives are based on the Phison E16 controller, no problem.
