Amid the global shortage of memory chips, the market's attention was attracted to Chinese DDR5 modules from the KingBank brand, produced on the basis of chips from the company CXMT. Previously, they were offered at a lower price than products from the world's leading manufacturers, but now the situation has changed, the WCCFTech portal reports.

Recent data from JD.com shows that actual prices are about the same and Chinese RAM prices are even higher. Therefore, a 32 GB DDR5 kit from KingBank costs 3629 yuan (about 530 USD) and a 64 GB DDR5-6000 kit exceeds 1000 USD.
At the same time, the US Newegg network sells 32 GB DDR5 kits with similar characteristics from more popular manufacturers for $440.
As a result, the price advantage of Chinese manufacturers has practically been leveled, and their products are priced comparable to solutions based on Samsung, SK hynix and Micron chips.
According to experts, the memory crisis will continue for at least a year, and in the worst case could last up to 10 years.
Previously, the AI boom resulted in Steam Decks being unavailable worldwide.
