Behavior Interactive, the publisher of Dead by Daylight, has long been preparing to release Blight: Survival, a historical zombie action game reminiscent of A Plague Tale and Hunt: Showdown. PC Gamer Portal speakWhat is known about the game at the moment.

Blight: Survival Release date
The game doesn't even have an approximate release date yet. According to the developers, it is too early to talk about this, even considering that the project was announced more than two and a half years ago.
At the same time, the authors plan to periodically test Blight: Survival; they will be closed – players will be able to participate in the test strictly by invitation, after having previously registered on the project website. But it's likely that those who sign up for the test will have to participate in testing other studio projects.
Gameplay details
The developers describe Blight: Survival as “a cooperative exploit with roguelight elements.” In practice, players seem to have to complete quests, find equipment in the form of weapons, armor, and crafting resources, and then return to camp with them.
The player's ultimate goal is to actually destroy Corruption; a disease whose spores have turned all of Earth's inhabitants into crazed zombies. In addition to the infected, you will have to fight bandits and even humanoid bosses. The project's official FAQ states that Blight: Survival is not an open-world game and will be divided into independent maps. It's unclear how much of the setting players will be able to explore, but according to the authors, fully completing the game will take around 25 hours.
Mechanisms and combat system
Blight: Survival takes place in an alternate version of 14th century Europe, much like Hunt: Showdown explains the existence of demons and zombies in Louisiana. Therefore, the authors immediately warn that they have taken some historical liberties regarding weapons and armor.
Behavior Interactive describes the game's combat system as “a cross between Dark Souls and Mount & Blade.”
- weapons. The game will include swords (one-handed and two-handed), shields, bows and daggers, later, after the release, soon firearms may also appear. Players will be able to block attacks, use light and heavy attacks, as well as kick and push opponents.
- Giap. The armor will be customizable, including colors and heraldry. The armor sets are inspired by many historical European styles.
- Class. At this time, the developers have no plans to include any kind of class system. Players will be able to customize their character to fit their preferred play style or appearance.
Multi-user feature
- Blight: Survival is designed for groups of up to 4 players
- There will be no PvP in the game
- According to the plan, the game can be played offline
- Players will be able to join guilds
- The monetization model will likely be traditional: both the game and add-ons will need to be purchased separately
