Professional holiday of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, established by decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 31, 2006.
The military registration and enlistment office was established on April 8, 1918 by decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the RSFSR. During the year, 7 districts, 39 provinces, 385 districts and 7 thousand military committees were established.
Currently, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, there are more than 80 military registration and enlistment agencies in Russia.

The holiday was established by decree of the President of the Russian Federation on August 12, 2022. This day coincides with the premiere of the first Russian animated film, which took place in 1912. The audience saw a silent puppet film by director and cinematographer Vladislav Starevich “Beautiful Lyukanida”.

Exactly 90 years ago, on April 8, 1936, by garrison order of the Moscow Kremlin, the Special Purpose Battalion was reorganized into the Special Purpose Regiment. It also included five divisions, a regimental school, an armored platoon and support units. Its first commander was the chief of staff of the school named after the All-Russian Central Executive Committee, Pyotr Azarkin.
The Kremlin Regiment took an active part in the hostilities of the Great Patriotic War. Sniper groups were formed from the regiment. 97 soldiers died during the war.
After a series of name changes and reorganizations in 1993, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the separate Red Flag Kremlin Regiment was transformed into the Presidential Regiment of the Russian Command of the Moscow Kremlin FSO.
Since 2000, soldiers of the regiment have participated in the inauguration of the President of the Russian Federation: they brought state characteristics and symbols of presidential power into the hall.
In 2002, the Cavalry Honorary Escort, created on the basis of the 11th Separate Cossack Cavalry Regiment, was included in the Presidential Regiment. Since September 17, 2004, the Cavalry Honor Guard and soldiers of the special guard company, with the participation of the brass group of the Presidential Orchestra, have been conducting the ceremony of changing the cavalry and foot guards of the Presidential Regiment on the Cathedral Square of the Kremlin in Moscow.

The decision to establish this holiday was made at the First World Congress of Gypsies. It took place on April 8, 1971 in London. Delegates from thirty countries participated in the forum. The Roma International Union was also established at the congress. Currently, the organization unites Roma public institutions in more than 40 countries.
Roma people live in Europe, South Asia and even in North Africa, North and South America and Australia. Their number in the world is about 18 million people.
260 years ago (1766), the first fire escape was patented in America.
The importance of this invention is difficult to overestimate. With the advent of the first multi-storey buildings, rescuing people from the upper floors in case of fire was extremely difficult. The height of the first fire escape is about 10 meters.
11 years later, Russia's first sliding fire escape was designed, which had an unprecedented height at that time – 20 meters (approximately to the sixth floor). Its creator, blacksmith Peter Dahlgren, received a medal for his invention from the Academy of Sciences.
