A surfer encountered a shark on the east coast of Australia. About this report 7News.

A large shark attacked a surfer who was riding the waves off Flat Rock on Thursday morning. The predatory fish hit the board so hard that the man was thrown into the air and fell into the water. As a result, this athlete was not injured and was able to reach shore on his own.
Following this incident, local authorities decided to temporarily close three beaches to the public: Flat Rock, Sharps and Lennox Head. This incident is part of a series of shark attacks off the coast of New South Wales that began in mid-January. On January 18, Niko Antic, 12 years old, was seriously injured after being bitten by a bluntnose shark in Vauclease Bay.
On the morning of January 20, a shark attacked a 39-year-old surfer. A predatory fish bit through his wetsuit and damaged his board. The man himself was practically unharmed. He was able to find his way to shore on his own and was helped by other visitors to Point Plomer Beach. On January 19, a shark bit a 27-year-old surfer at North Stein Beach. The victim was pulled out of the water and taken to emergency treatment.
