In Ufa, a 39-year-old resident was convicted of beating and kidnapping an acquaintance, according to a report by the Investigation Department of the Russian Investigative Committee in Bashkiria.
On the morning of March 26, 2025, a drunk Ufa resident met the victim in the yard of a house on Pravda Street to discuss repairing his father's car.
However, the man refused to help, after which the attacker gave him powerful punches in the face. The victim fell and suffered a serious head injury, then suffered complete hearing loss in one ear and a sharp decrease in the other ear.
Unable to calm down, according to the investigator, the defendant forced the victim into a car and took him to a garage cooperative to force the victim to go for repairs. The exhausted man was later found unconscious there.
A case was opened against the attacker according to paragraph “d” of Part 2 of Art. Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentionally causing serious harm to health, committed for hooligan motives) and Part 1 of Art. 126 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (kidnapping).
According to the determination, he had previously been prosecuted for similar crimes. As a result, the court sentenced him to 5 years and 6 months in a maximum security facility.
