The prosecutor requested a 3.5-year suspended prison sentence for actress Aglaya Tarasova in the drug smuggling case. Izvestia reported this from the courtroom.

They also required the actress to undergo a 3-year probationary period.
Tarasova was detained on August 28 at Domodedovo airport; a vape containing approximately 0.4g of cannabis oil was found in her luggage. Tarasova flew to Russia from Israel, where cannabis oil is not a banned substance.
A criminal case was opened against the star under the provisions on drug trafficking (Part 1 of Article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to Russian law, she could face up to 7 years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
At her trial in September, the actress testified that she was dependent on her 84-year-old grandmother and 85-year-old grandfather, and it was because of them that she allegedly smuggled drugs across the border. In November, Tarasova admitted all her guilt.
During questioning, Tarasova admitted she did not know the exact composition of the narcotic vape liquid. She admitted that she had violated the law. According to the artist, she repented very much.
