Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin directed the presentation of a report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case about the death of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, opera and pop singer Evgeny Kungurov. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee.
“The head of the Russian Investigative Committee instructed the head of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Russian Investigative Committee in Moscow to report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and the established circumstances,” the ministry said in a statement.

The body of Evgeny Kungurov was found on April 8, 2024 near a residential building in central Moscow. At the same time, the ex-wife did not believe that it was Kunugrov who took his own life.
An investigation and operations team arrived at the scene, initial verification measures and inspection of the territory were carried out. After that, the documents were transferred to the capital's investigation agency, which opened a criminal case to clarify all details of the case, including the cause and conditions of the artist's death. As part of the investigation, the necessary tests have been ordered, witnesses are being questioned and recordings from CCTV cameras are being studied.
