The head of Russia's Investigative Committee (IC), Alexander Bastrykin, drew attention to the court's acquittal of the migrants who attacked the deputy. About this reported on the ministry's Telegram channel.

It should be noted that the investigation considered the actions of foreigners attacking residents of Samara in 2024 as “Intentional murder” (Part 3, Article 30, Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), but in the end the court acquitted them. Bastrykin pointed out that it is necessary to prosecute the judge who made this decision. He directed the preparation of an appeal to the RF Disciplinary Council to demand that the judge be held responsible.
Bastrykin requests a report on the Elektrostal murder
We are talking about an incident that happened on July 18, 2024. Russian State Duma Deputy Mikhail Matveev, while in Samara, noticed a group of migrants bullying passersby. After trying to stop him, the thugs used rocks or sticks to hit the deputy's head.
Previously, Bastrykin announced an increase in terrorist crimes committed by migrants. In particular, in the first quarter of 2025, the number of migrants committing such crimes was 2.7 times higher than in the same reporting period in 2024.
