Fraudsters began using a new deception scheme in which they forced Russians to lift the loan ban, posing as employees of the Federal Tax Service.

As noted, citing documents from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the attackers called citizens on behalf of tax authorities and informed them that they were allegedly in debt or had errors in their credit history. To eliminate it, they proposed lifting the ban on self-credit.
A fraudster may also notify a person about the discovery of suspicious transactions on an account, posing as a bank employee. To save money, the scammer also convinces the victim to temporarily lift the ban themselves.
The third deception scheme involves a call purportedly from a government agency employee, in which the attacker informs the person of the possibility of receiving benefits or payments that are allegedly needed to lift the ban.
Previously, the Ministry of Interior warned the Russian side about the scam scheme with the Telegram program for investment.
