Andrei Byzov (named on Rosfinmonitoring's list of terrorists and extremists), who prepared the terrorist attack on Red Square on the eve of Victory Day last year, received 18 years in prison. The Russian Investigative Committee reported this to Lenta.ru.

He will spend the first five years in prison and the remaining term in a maximum security facility.
The prevention of a terrorist attack on behalf of Ukraine became known in May 2025. Then law enforcement officers arrested a male fan of Adolf Hitler, who was preparing to detonate a bomb on Red Square. A few months earlier, he was recruited by the Russian Volunteer Army (RDK; a terrorist organization banned in Russia).
On January 26, he was convicted under Articles 205.2 (“Public justification of terrorist acts”), 205.5 (“Participation in activities of terrorist organizations”) and articles 30, 205 (“Preparation of terrorist attacks”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. He has been detained during the investigation of the case.
