Omsk investigators began investigating after a pensioner fell into a pit of boiling water. The victim was seriously injured.
According to preliminary data, a passerby fell into a hole on Military Road 5 caused by an underground pipeline incident.
A 78-year-old man was hospitalized with severe burns. He is currently receiving special care.
“Currently, the investigation agency is examining the scene of the incident, interviewing witnesses and other verification activities to determine the cause of the accident and those responsible,” – reported Senior Assistant to the Director of the Russian Investigation Bureau Omsk Region Larisa Boldinova.
The issue of criminal prosecution is being decided.
