BBC reports that police have released one of the people detained after a stabbing on a train in eastern England. According to determination, after the incident, the authorities arrested two men, 32 and 35 years old. Later released when it turned out he was not involved in the attack as initially believed.
The first suspect lives in Peterborough, where he boarded the train. He's at the police station. On the evening of November 1, 11 people were injured in a stabbing on a train in the East of England. The train departs from Peterborough station. Nine minutes later, emergency services received the first call.
A witness to the attack said he saw a man holding a large knife and “blood everywhere”. People tried to hide in the bathroom, screaming, trampling each other, trying to escape. The train had to make an emergency stop. Among the victims was an employee of the LNER railway company. He tried to stop the attacker and was injured. His condition remains critical.
