The court sentenced a 20-year-old resident of the Murmansk region to 12 years in prison in a maximum security zone for treason. The regional prosecutor's office reported this on its Telegram channel.

The court concluded that in 2024 and 2025, this young man collected information published on the Internet about the location of Russian military facilities in the Murmansk region. He intended to pass the information received via text message to a Ukrainian intelligence officer. He was stopped by agents of the Federal Security Service.
The court found the defendant guilty. The Murmansk region prosecutor's office supported the charges against the Russians under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (high treason).
Also on December 18, it was reported that the Russian Federal Security Service arrested an 18-year-old resident of Chelyabinsk on suspicion of preparing a terrorist attack.
