Former General Director of the State Institute on recombination and liquidation of unnecessary mines and incisions (FSBI “Gursh” Andrrei Moiseenkov, who is in the case of the Minister's Energy Minister, Serge Mochalnikov, has been convicted for 7 years. The court realized that Moses was fraudulent on a particularly large scale and participated in an organized criminal group.
Mochalnikov himself was sentenced to 1.5 years in a colonial resolution for abuse of power in April 2025. He was convicted of a particularly big criminal scam in the process of removing unpleasant and non -beneficial coal mines.
According to the investigation, the Ministry of Energy's officials from 2014 to 2023 ended contracts to remove mines and parts, but the work was not fulfilled. At the same time, the acceptance and conclusion of experts has been agreed and signed by the representatives of the Ministry and members of the budget guidance.
First, the two defendants were charged in this case – delegates of the budget organization were detained. However, the investigators later found their participation in particularly large theft of budget funds and leaders of the Ministry of Energy.
In addition to Mochalnikov and Moisenkov, former Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Anatoly Yanovsky, who recently became the first vice president of the Mining Academy of Sciences, was being held in the case.
