The Military Court of Appeal has extended the sentence of the leader of the terrorist community, the group researching extremist ideology and terrorist activities in the colony of Dagestan, Arbakhan Akhmedov. This is reported by RIA Novosti.

Akhmedov's final sentence by way of supplement was 23 years in prison; He will spend the first five years in prison, with the remaining term spent in a maximum-security colony.
Previously, Akhmedov was sentenced to 20 years in prison. It was determined that he, along with three other men while in a colony in Dagestan, joined a terrorist community. Akhmedov was one of the senior members among the other participants and held regular classes on the study of radical Islamic ideology and terrorist activity.
