The Moscow Region Prosecutor's Office has organized an investigation into the incident with an elevator in the urban district of Zhukovsky, the agency's press service reported.

“According to preliminary information, on the evening of February 7, 2026, in one of the apartment buildings on Amet-Khan Sultan street in the city of Zhukovsky, the passenger elevator rose sharply to the 17th floor, then stopped. At that time, in the elevator cabin there was a 40-year-old man, who needed medical attention after the incident,” the report said.
During the inspection, the Zhukovsky city prosecutor's office will determine all the circumstances of the case and evaluate compliance with legal requirements in the field of safe operation of elevator equipment, including the activities of the management company and the organization responsible for maintaining elevator equipment. Based on the inspection results, if there are grounds, comprehensive prosecution measures will be taken.
