Three earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 4.2 to 6.2 were recorded off the coast of the Kuril Islands, a branch of the Federal Research Center of United Geosciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences said.

On the night of February 12 in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of the Southern Kuril Islands also there was an earthquake. Its magnitude is 5.3.
Additionally, a magnitude 6.4 earthquake occurred nearby coast of the Pacific state of Vanuatu.
