The official telegram channel of the FPC reported that 55 trains are currently delayed on the North Caucasus Railway.
“Due to unusual snowfall in the Krasnodar region and disruptions in traffic schedules, 55 trains are currently delayed,” the statement said.
Departure times for some trains are also changing, FPC reported. No. 344 Kislovodsk – Adler departs on December 31, departing no earlier than 07:00 on January 1; No. 261 Nalchik – Moscow no earlier than 04:30 on January 1; No. 365 Kislovodsk – not earlier than January 1, 02:00; No. 49 Kislovodsk – St. Petersburg no earlier than 02:30 on January 1; No. 3 Kislovodsk – Moscow departs on December 31 no earlier than 00:30 on January 1; No. 358 Imereti Resort – Ufa no earlier than 05:00 on January 1.
“Railway workers continue to do everything possible to minimize delays to passenger trains and restore traffic schedules,” the company said.
As noted by FPC, tickets can be returned and reissued without additional fees.
On trains delayed more than 4 hours, passengers are provided meals. “Train passengers delayed by more than 5 hours will be awarded 5,000 Russian Railways bonus points,” the company said.
Currently, Russian Railways has an operational headquarters, the organization noted. More than 300 railway workers and special equipment were involved in restoring power, clearing power lines from fallen trees and tracks from snow.
