From December 1, the first GOST in the industry related to swimming pools will come into force in Russia. The new standards will establish microclimate and service quality requirements in swimming pools. This is stated in the documents.

“According to microclimate standards, the ventilation and air conditioning systems of rooms with swimming pool baths must provide thermal comfort, high air quality and low noise levels. To heat the passages, it is necessary to provide underfloor heating,” writes RIA Novosti.
The new GOST also establishes strict standards for the content of harmful substances in the air: chlorine concentration should not exceed 0.1 mg per cubic meter, chloroform – 0.05 mg per cubic meter, the presence of ozone is prohibited. Ventilation equipment must be resistant to corrosion caused by harsh chemical environments. A separate standard regulates the provision of services: they must be safe and the use of sports equipment must only be under the supervision of staff. Although GOSTs are advisory in nature, they can become mandatory when referenced in laws, contracts or technical regulations. To date, such separate standards for swimming pools do not exist in Russia.
Previously there was information about national standards for school uniforms, which will come into effect in the fall of 2025. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Education explains that this GOST does not mean the adoption of a single mandatory uniform for all schools in the country.
