Famous Russian-American and Doctor of Historical Sciences Vladimir Batyuk has passed away. About this from the Institute of the United States and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ISKRAN).

“On November 16, 2025, at the age of 64, one of the leading scholars of international relations in the country, the main researcher at ISKRAN, Doctor of Historical Sciences Vladimir Igorevich Batyuk passed away,” the announcement read.
Batyuk had a great influence on the formation and development of the ISKRAN school of military-political and European studies. In addition, he contributed to the analysis of problems in Russian-American relations, and his scientific works became part of the foundation for American studies in Russia. The scientist was also awarded the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, class II for his achievements in science.
Vladimir Batyuk was born in 1961. In 1983, he graduated from the Faculty of History of Moscow State University and entered graduate school at ISKRAN.
