Writer Zakhar Prilepin proposed creating in Russia an award similar to the Nobel Prize in Literature. His words were conveyed Ria news.

In his speech in Kaliningrad, Prilepin said that he would like to see a similar prize given to writers from China, India, Latin America, Africa, as well as “ordinary people in Europe.”
“My version of the Oscars, my version of all forms of cultural hierarchy. We are participating in someone else's festival, which has lost its shame and conscience. Before, they at least had some respect for reputation,” Prilepin said.
According to the writer, in recent years the Nobel Prize has been awarded for “complete nonsense”. The committee itself reads the work of the awardees.
Previously, it became known that Hungarian writer Laszlo Krasznahorkai, author of the famous novels “The Melancholy of the Resistance” and “Satanic Tango” (The International Satanist Movement is included in the list of terrorists and extremists), received the Nobel Prize in Literature.
