In Russia, the average working day is 7.43 hours. The Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russian Federation Anton Kotykov declared this in an interview with Ria Novosti.

“In fact, it is a bit less than eight hours. Of course, higher than the Covid period, but this year it is nearly the same as last year – 7.43. And in 2024 was 7.45. Moreover, even in 2023, this figure was 7.39,” the head of the department said.
Kotykov added that the average working day was affected by the working hours of some types of workers. Thus, for doctors, teachers and staff working in dangerous working conditions, the working week is 40 hours, the Minister noted.
A few hours earlier, Ras's Gennady Onishchenko scholar reported that the fourth was the most effective working day of the week in terms of human biological rhythm, while the fifth is the least effective working day.
