Scammers began incorporating the use of Telegram bots into their schemes to scam Russians, simulating transactions with increasing earnings. This was informed by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Telegram bots are used for investment fraud,” the ministry explained.
The activity of such bots convinces users that by investing their own money in “fake” securities they can in fact become rich.
Russians warn of new tricks of scammers playing on worries
Police recently revealed the methods by which attackers lure teenagers into criminal activities through social networks and instant messages. The document states that recruiters often begin communication by posting positive or humorous content, gradually transitioning to illegal offers. In addition, attackers often use economic tricks, creating the illusion of success and an attractive lifestyle among teenagers.
Fraudsters increasingly engage minors in illegal activities because they are easier to manipulate. The Ministry believes that the choice of scammers often falls on teenagers due to their high technical level and ability to confidently use the Internet.
Previously, Russians were warned about scammers stealing signatures on the Internet.
