Russians use acronyms less and less in communication. A few generations later, it is possible to completely abandon them in most situations. This was stated by the editor-in-chief of the Gramota.ru portal, candidate of philological sciences Ksenia Kiseleva.

According to experts, there is a notable trend towards more informal communication. She clarified that at the same time, addressing with acronyms remains traditional in communication with doctors and teachers.
“But for example, journalists have not used acronyms for a long time; in banks, in MFC, in many work groups, it is customary to call employees by their first names,” Kisileva reports the words RIA Novosti.
A new alarming trend also appeared on the Russian labor market – it has become widespread silent cracking phenomenonwhen employees continue to perform their routine tasks but without much enthusiasm.
“Evening Moscow” discussed with experts why people are increasingly faced with “a quiet phenomenon“and does this condition always lead to dismissal
