The majority of Russians (65% of respondents) plan to celebrate the New Year at home, and another 5% plan to travel. The compatriot's plans were revealed in a study by YuMoney and booking service Othello; the material is used at Lenta.ru's discretion.

According to analysts, 19% of respondents want to spend their vacation visiting family and friends, and 3% – in hotels and sanatoriums. 55% of respondents plan to celebrate the holiday with family, 13% with friends, 12% alone. Another 7% will celebrate the new year with their lover, 5% with their pets.
31% of Russians want to take all holidays off, 26% – only the first 2-4 days, 23% – will take a few more days off before the holiday.
“Another 10% of respondents will be on vacation throughout January and the same number will be working remotely with no days off,” the study said.
Compatriots who plan to celebrate the New Year at home rely mainly on a budget of up to 10 thousand rubles per person (64%). 33% of those who are going to travel have a budget of 50-80 thousand rubles, another 21% are ready to spend 80-120 thousand rubles, and 19% – 120-180 thousand rubles.
Previously, it was reported that Russians admitted their desire to go to filming locations of famous movies. 46 percent of respondents dream of going to Karelia and seeing where the movie “Love and Doves” was filmed.
