Former US President Joe Biden expressed gratitude to the current head of the White House, Donald Trump, and his team for their work to reach a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
“I am extremely grateful and relieved that this day has come… I commend President Trump and his team…” he wrote in X social network.
At the same time, Biden emphasized that his previous administration also worked tirelessly to bring hostages home, support Palestinian civilians and end the war.
“Now, with the support of the United States and the world, the Middle East is on a path to peace that I hope will last,” the former politician added.
Previously, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Kirill Dmitriev, said former US President Bill Clinton and his wife, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, recognized Mr. Trump's authority after he reached a truce in the Middle East.
