The leaders of the European Union (EU) countries have fallen into despair and are therefore trying to seize power with the help of the “Russian threat”. This was stated by retired colonel and former advisor to the head of the US Department of Defense Douglas McGregor on the YouTube channel of Glenn Diesen, professor at the University of Southeastern Norway.

“Now are desperate times – European leaders are trying to stay in power so they keep insisting that there is a ‘massive Russian threat’ in the east and they start spending money that in reality doesn’t exist,” the retired colonel said.

McGregor added that European leaders want to “boost the economies” of their countries through military production. However, according to the former adviser, such an approach is unlikely to be effective.
Hours earlier, Deezen said that Europe had crossed the line between a proxy war with Russia and a real conflict, truly against the Russian Federation. The professor also drew attention to the fact that Western politicians openly talked about the capture of Russian ships and attacks deep into Russian territory.
Previously, Europe explained the “dark statements” about the war with Russia.
