Police and firefighters in the Saxon town of Schöneck launched a large-scale operation after reports from locals that an unidentified flying object had been spotted in the sky. write dpa agency

According to the agency, several residents in the Vogtland area called police and reported seeing an unidentified flying object.
The first call came in on the afternoon of Sunday, November 16, followed by many more calls from several unrelated people.
“Several people immediately reported to the police in Saxon Schöneck about seeing an unidentified flying object. Security forces combed the area but there was no trace of the object,” the journalists noted.
A helicopter with thermal imaging equipment, drones and sniffer dog services were involved in the search operation. At the same time, employees coordinated their actions with colleagues from the neighboring Czech Republic and the Upper Franconia region of Bavaria.
Police noted that the department has not received any reports of injuries, missing persons or damaged property. Requests to the space agency, Leipzig Airport, the Bundeswehr and the German Weather Service have so far yielded no results.
