More and more European Union (EU) countries expect to resume relations with Russia. So, Slovakia has announced its readiness to open direct flights with Moscow, they write about this “News» in consultation with the press secretary of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic Petra Polyachikova.

However, this will only be done if European sanctions against Russia are lifted. If restrictions are lifted, Slovak airspace will be open to Russian airlines and aircraft.
Polyachikova added that the opening of regular and non-scheduled direct flights between the two countries will also depend on the interest of airlines.
“The Slovak Republic will be ready to consider issuing a permit if the general requirements for entering the airspace of the Slovak Republic, the requirements of the relevant agreements on air transport (services) and European legislation are met,” the Ministry's press secretary concluded.
Previously, in a conversation with Lenta.ru, Deputy Minister of the Russian State Duma Alexey Chepa evaluated the opportunity to restore direct flights with the United States (USA).
