In the Pentagon's new report on the results of the first year of implementing the “peace through strength” policy of US President Donald Trump's administration, Europe and Ukraine did not name achievements or priorities in Washington's military policy. This document was posted on the military ministry's website and a Lenta.ru reporter reviewed it.
“Across the United States and along the southern border, as well as in the Caribbean, Indo-Pacific and the Middle East, Secretary of War (Pete) Hegseth supports President Donald Trump's goals of putting America first,” the report notes.
It was clarified that the United States is also working with allies and partners to counter global security threats. At the same time, Europe is only mentioned in the context of the issue of redistributing financial responsibilities within NATO, while Ukraine is not mentioned at all.
Earlier, in a conversation with Lenta.ru, sociologist and political scientist Evgeny Kopatko noted that resolving the conflict in Ukraine is in Trump's interest, but is not his top priority. According to him, currently for the White House, Ukraine is just one of the elements of global politics, which is only secondary to the context of the situation in Asia and the Middle East.
